2D Shooter
This is my 2D Shooter: Space Lazer
First Modification:
My first modification was to make my own level, I added a unique and different level to my game other than the tutorial levels. I made level 2 my own by adding a new background, as well as new art(planets) provided, (switched to different game music). In level 2 there is also two times the enemies in level one (I added 2 more aliens to my level one), you will have to fight off all 10 enemies while avoiding hazards throughout battle, there are 6 enemies implemented at the start of the level, with an enemy (straight chaser) spawner with a max spawn of four and no spawn infinite (with a four second spawn delay). (Updated game manager to level 2 changes)
Second Modification:
My second modification was to add some environmental challenges and interactions to my game. One of the first things that I added was asteroids scattered across level 2, which when in contact will kill/damage you (player hit effect when you make contact with any asteroid). / You can also destroy these asteroids with your lasers. A new enemy spawner also was added to level two. Also added a colliding asteroid that you cannot destroy or move through (solid object).
Third Modification:
My third modification was to modify the out of game user interface to be more eye-catching, to match the vibe of the game style of the 2-d Shooter. By changing colors of backdrops, titles, and selectable options (as well as changing the reticle). My goal was to create excitement before you even start the game with an updated user interface. Make sure that corresponding changes are made throughout the whole of the out of game UI. I entirely changed my color scheme for the out of game UI, consistent throughout out of game UI. I chose to use Pink and purple as a more accurate color scheme for the game type/ era.
